Nestled right along the Delaware River is a beautiful little town called New Hope. Full of history (it was in New Hope that Washington crossed the Delaware during the Revolutionary War) new hope today features beautifully restored inns, a gorgeous riverside, and many art galleries. New Hope was originally owned by William Penn. It was signed over to another owner in 1681, and changed hands many times up until the Revolutionary War. Benjamin Parry started two mills in the area after the war. In 1790, both mills burned to the ground. They were rebuild and given the moniker "New Hope Mills," which became the driving philosophy of this historic town that is always looking forward to the future.
